Pip Calculations

Hello Friends,

With starting of the daily signals soon we need to find a way to report the daily pip profits. We had some big discussions in the past and would like to welcome you all share your thoughts for one last time here. Trading with 5 lots creates a challange to count pips in a way that truly reflects the total pips/profit made. My concern for the method to calculate pips is that it should also be comparable with other systems.

In the past people have suggested to average out the total pips. So for example if the trade makes +50 and rest of the lots are closed at BE then divide 50 by 5 and report 10 pips profit. Thats again is not accurate since it will be hard to compare with other systems who could trade with 1 lot and report 50 pips profit.

Another way suggested was to simply add the number of pips from each lot closed. So if a trade made 250 pips then add 50+100+150+200+250 making it a total of 750 pips. This again makes it harder to compare with other systems as I would be reporting thousand of pips whereas others would report only a handful.

What I’ve used in the past is the method that assumes that trade is placed with 1 lot and total pips gained/lost from the signal. This to some traders seems inaccurate since it doesn’t balances losses to gains properly.

Hence once and for all I would like you to participate in the discussion as to which is the best way to report pips. Please post your suggestions here.

WorldVision - 2nd Sponorship

WorldVision - Update :)

Hello Friends,

 

Following my post earlier regarding WorldVision Donation we received great support from everyone and in less than 12 hrs we received enough donation to sponsor OzFx Community’s first child for one year. Her name is Talata, she is 5 year old from Ghana. She likes playing football.

Daily Signals are Back (String Attached) :)

Hello Friends,

Daily signals are back and yes there is a string attached to it :) . As you probably already know that I am big into “giving back” and “karma” is what makes me come back to forums everyday. Also me and my partner sponsor children as part of us “giving back” and I would like you to do the same. Hence I’ve created a page on my blog where you can go and donate for the same cause. Every single dollar donated will be used to sponsor children through WorldVision (http://www.worldvision.org) and details of which including receipts will be posted online for everyone to look and verify making everything transparent.

My target is to sponsor at least 10 children for one year in next 2 months. It takes a little bit more than AUD500 to sponsor a child for one year and as soon the total amount reach $500 mark I would go ahead and sponsor a child. You don’t have to go through me and you are free to sponsor on your own. If you decide to do it on your own then send me the details so I can update the tally. :)

Later today I’ll post the Paypal link and where you can go and donate any amount you like. As a general guide you can donate 1-5% of whatever profits you have made so far and 0.5-2% of profits every week from now on. I’ll update the blog page with your Name and amount (you can choose not to) and total amount so far. I personally think it is an excellent way of helping others and would motivate me to keep my signals free. Signals will start from 7th Apr containing both Daily and Squeeze-More.

1:1 Phone Chat - Update

Hello Friends,

 

Few weeks ago I posted on my blog “Committed To Succeed” and I asked if people are interested in having 1:1 phone chat to help them get started. In response to that I’ve received several hundred emails and the responses are far greater than I thought. Hence it made me think and I came up with a better solution.

 

What I am planning to do is to host a Webex session, it is like a web-conference / webinar session where I can share my desktop and communicate via voice and chat. This way I can help out more people at the same time and if someone still have questions then we can still do phone chat.

 

Initially I’ll do one session a week on Daily strategy and may have Squeeze-More session later on if more people are interested. I love to see hear your feedback and suggestions, so please post them here.
